The BEST Roasted Brussels Sprouts

So, I wont bore you with a story about how amazing my roasted brussels sprouts are this time (they are the BEST though😉), but did you know it was brusselS sprouts? Like brussel, but with an S at the end? Isnt that weird? Anyone else? No? Okay. Moving on…

A few important notes for these: This is a super simple recipe. These are dairy free, and delicious! You can use frozen brussels sprouts, if you want, but they are always best from fresh in my opinion. We are using nutritional yeast on roasted brussels sprouts to give it a little cheesy flavor, without the cheese! It’s important to not let the brussels sprouts touch on the baking sheet. If they are too close together, they’ll steam each other instead of roasting. You definitely want that roasted crunch on the outside for these!

Roasted Brussels Spouts

Servings : 4 sides
Prep time : 5 minutes
Cook time : 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb brussels sprouts
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1/4 tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • Salt to taste

 

Steps :

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F
  2. Trim the brussels sprouts as/if needed, then cut them in halves and put into a medium mixing bowl.
  3. Add the oil, garlic and onion powder, and nutritional yeast to the bowl and toss the brussels sprouts until they’re well coated.
  4. Lay out the brussels sprouts, cut/flat end down on a baking sheet, making sure they aren’t touching.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes. Top with a little salt and serve!
